Working remotely for clients from different parts of the world, requires mutual trust between parties.

You need to trust the clients that they will pay you after you complete the tasks they have given you.

The clients need to trust you that you are doing your job well even though they cannot see you.

Arabs don’t easily trust people. And here is my story how I gained the trust of my boss in UAE.

I was not so lucky with my first company abroad. Biruin mo, minsan three months kaming walang sahod! Ang saklap di ba?

Kaya nung nakapasok ako sa second company ko abroad, which is better company, better job and better salary, pinagbuti ko talaga. Tumanaw din ako ng utang na loob sa mga nag-interview sa kin at isa na dun yung Sales Manager ng company. Mabait siyang Arabo. Tinutulungan ko sya sa lahat ng proposals and orders nya under his account, pati yung mga powerpoint presentations nya during meetings ako gumagawa.

So, when he decided to start his own company kinuha nya ako. I am one of his trusted employees. As he said, I am the best of the best daw. Sarap pakinggan di ba? Nakaka-inspire lalo mag-work!

Kaya nung sinabi ko sa kanyang mag-reresign ako, going home for good, nalungkot sya. Nawalan sya ng trusted friend and employee.

But, starting July 2015 until now, I’m working virtually for my former UAE boss.
